Tarot decks were 15th century playing cards-later tools for divination. Pulp magazines peaked with Depression-era longing for escapism-living on in modern forms and genres. Both Pulp and Tarot are sources of stories that stir primal responses-love and bravery, fear and happiness, suspense and surprise-to give us a chance to reimagine ourselves.
