This is for the real "Thrift Sl*t"
by your resident thrifty babes at Intrigue Ink
We wanted to make something a little cheeky. Something for the people who walk into a thrift store and immediately think:
“I don’t need anything… but I will be looking.”
Because let’s be honest. Thrifting is a chaotic, unpredictable and a little dusty sport.
But when you find that holy grail piece?
Yeah… cue the Monty Python Theme. You earned that.
So we sent out our two resident thrifty icons, Gunner and Kadison, on a mission:
Find the best thrift stores in Bozeman (and maybe a few just outside the downtown bubble).
Their criteria?
- Are there discount days (and are they actually worth it)?
- Do you consistently find good stuff, or is it a dig-for-your-life situation?
- What’s the clothing to home goods ratio… and does it matter?
Then we had them rank their top 3 and report back with their most intriguing finds.
GUNNER’S TOP PICKS
RETHINK THRIFT INC.
1800 N Rouse Ave, Bozeman, MT 59715
If you love a dig that actually rewards you, this is your spot.
- Book selection: elite
- Clothing: affordable and surprisingly solid
- Home goods: chaotic in the best way (aka treasure chest energy)
Pro tip: Fridays = 1/2 off everything.
They even have a Punch Card to further that discounted GOLD.

SACKS THRIFT (Downtown)
138 W Mendenhall St, Bozeman, MT 59715
Right in the heart of downtown, which means… yes, you will “just pop in” and somehow leave with three things you didn’t plan on.
- Books: weirdly great every time
- Clothing: hit or miss, but when it hits… it HITS
- Vibe: casual downtown stroll energy
Also…
There’s a Free Little Library right inside the front door.
We support that behavior.
Discount days exist.
Do we ever remember when they are? No.
Will we keep trying anyway? Absolutely.

HAND ME DOWN 406
4565 Linney Rd, Bozeman, MT 59718
You will need a car.
You will need intention.
You will be rewarded.
....and always check their hours before making the drive...
This is where Gunner finds the good stuff.
Like… the pieces that make you say “wait… why is this here??”
- Consistent hidden gems
- Worth the drive every single time
- Feels like a secret you almost don’t want to share (but we’re generous)

KADISON’S TOP PICKS
(organized by what you’re hunting for because she’s strategic like that)
TWICE TREASURED THRIFT
81680 Gallatin Rd, Bozeman, MT 59718
For the girlies building a vibe:
- Home decor
- Holiday decorations
- Purses that feel like a personality shift
Gunner chiming in: GREAT book selection. And if you’re into physical media like CDs… this place rocks. Also low-key a great spot for camping gear finds.
They also have rotating tag sales that change daily!

DO OVERS
2130 Simmental Way, Bozeman, MT 59715
The all-arounder.
- Clothes
- Kitchen items
- Home decor
Also officially open 7 days a week! (we love a consistent place to go when the mood strikes)
If you want a little bit of everything without committing to one lane, this is your stop.
Pro tip: if you donate they give you a discount card for your next purchase!

GOODWILL
6161 Jackrabbit Ln, Belgrade, MT 59714
Say what you want… but she delivers.
- VHS tapes (?? iconic and best prices) - also anyone selling a working VCR? Let us know...
- Frames
- Blankets
- Purses
- Men’s clothing
Sometimes you just need a low-risk treasure hunt.

ONE EXTRA HIDDEN GEM
WILD RIVER THRIFT
8440 Huffine Ln, Bozeman, MT 59718
We had to shout them out.
If you’re specifically on the hunt for clothing, this place consistently shows up.
Like… you’ll actually leave with something wearable.
And that’s not always a guarantee in this game.
We went together and found SO many treasures.
This was one of those stops where the racks just kept giving.
Catch the full haul on TikTok… or scroll below to see what we found.

WHAT WE FOUND (AKA THE FUN PART)
This is where we need to talk about the actual treasures.
Because yes… we went shopping.
A lava lamp. Are you kidding.
A groovy tea light candle holder that had no business being that cute.
Some vintage nesting dolls… honestly a national treasure.
We found a handful of fun DVDs (because physical media is alive and well), a few very cute new fits that felt extremely Intrigue-coded, and some random gems that just had to come home with us.
Standouts include:
- A golden microphone (for obvious reasons)
- LASERTAG?? immediate yes
This was one of those thrifting days where everything felt a little unhinged in the best way. And somehow… it all works.

FINAL THOUGHTS
We love being, respectfully,
“the biggest slut in the thrift shop.”
We love the hunt.
We love the randomness.
We love building spaces and outfits that feel like you… without looking like anyone else.
Gunner’s office?
Basically 90% thrifted and DIY chaos (in a good way).
Kadison?
Will absolutely show you her haul before she even leaves the parking lot. (find her on tiktok)
So if you’re in Bozeman and feeling a little thrifty…
now you know where to start. - At intrigue ink to pick up your new favorite "thrift shop" tote and the cheeky clothes to go with it. Then you set out on your journey!
Got a hidden gem we missed?
Tell us. Or don’t. Gatekeeping is allowed (just this once).
